Boston fire Lieutenant Sean O’Brien screams out for an ambulance as he and others rush injured firefighter Michael Kennedy from 298 Beacon St. after he and another firefighter were trapped in the large wind-whipped fire that would claim the building. Kennedy, who was barely alive at rescue, and fire Lt. Edward Walsh, died in the nine alarm fire.
