The Massachusetts firefighting community and the Watertown community came together to mourn the loss of Firefighter Joseph Toscano during a funeral service at Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Watertown on March 22, 2017. Firefighter Toscano, 54, died on March 17 after he collapsed while battling a two-alarm fire on Merrifield Avenue. He had been a Watertown firefighter for two decades. He leaves behind his wife Maureen and five children ages 12-19.
