Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts — 11/05/2014– Lisa Marie Jenkins has slept on a discarded couch she dragged into a wooded nook in Jamaica Plain nearly every night in the month since city officials condemned the bridge that connected the mainland to Long Island, the location of the city’s largest shelter, and ordered her and hundreds of other homeless people to evacuate their refuge on Boston Harbor immediately.
